Project Level Global Variables

      We would like to see project-level variables that do not require someone to have Bamboo administrator access to set. We have several different teams using Bamboo and relying on a Bamboo administrator to add/remove/modify the global variables that they use creates a bottleneck. The alternative is that plans don't use variables at all but that slows projects down in that they have to then go and update each plan manually when there is a global configuration change. This is similar to to BAM-1237 except it has to do with generic variables, not environment or build-specific variables.

            Shouldn't this feature be applied to Deployment Projects also? I see that BAM-15180 was closed.

            Are these project level variables also available to Bamboo Specs plans? This would be a good use case for storing secrets for Bamboo Specs plans then, better than storing them encrypted in the source repo in my opinion.

            This feature will helps in many ways: some of them are

            1. Reducing effort of adding/removing/modifying same variable (name and value) is used in multiple plans.
            2. Visibility and flexibility of variable usage for project admins.
