The default AMI that ships with elastic Bamboo only runs on 32 bit elastic instances. This means customers can't use large memory instances without creating a custom AMI, which we strongly recommend they don't do because it breaks between upgrades. I'd like to suggest we have two default AMI's, a 32 bit and a 64 bit, which are automatically selected based on the instance type selected.
