This is an issue with the latest version of our Atlassian Applications, I've tested with JIRA 4.1.1, Confluence 3.2 and Bamboo 2.5.3 and it doesn't work.

This problem will be fixed in Bamboo 2.5.1 which we hope to get out by 15 January 2010.

However, please note that JIRA 4.0.2 and Confluence 3.1.1 is needed for this to work as the fix to PLUG-493 needs to be present in all webapps for it to work.

JIRA 4.0.2 is currently planned for early February 2010.

Confluence 3.1.1 is planned for 15 January 2010.

This is a problem that is fixed by https://studio.atlassian.com/browse/PLUG-493. I will update the issue with what version of JIRA, Confluence and Bamboo will have this fix.

What is likely happening is the customer is running Bamboo in Tomcat, but another Atlassian product is also present, usually JIRA or Confluence. There is a bug in Felix where it won't live nicely with other, usually older, versions of Felix.
