Not all capabilities can be applied to an instance just by attaching ESB storage.
Some changes might be necessary to the OS itself.
It can be made now by executing yum install something when an instance starts up, but it takes time and sometimes also human interaction is needed.
So other images than the default one (ami-3c3dda55 in case of 2.2.1) could be allowed by providing AMI's ID.
