      This High severity Improper Verification of Cryptographic Signature vulnerability was introduced in versions 10.0.0, 10.1.0, 10.2.0, 11.0.0, 12.0.0, and 12.1.0 of Bamboo Data Center.

      This Improper Verification of Cryptographic Signature vulnerability, with a CVSS Score of 7.5 and a CVSS Vector of CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N allows an unauthenticated attacker to gain unintended access and can lead to the exposure of resources or functionality, possibly providing attackers with sensitive information.

      Atlassian recommends that Bamboo Data Center customers upgrade to latest version, if you are unable to do so, upgrade your instance to one of the specified supported fixed versions:

      • Bamboo Data Center 10.2: Upgrade to a release greater than or equal to 10.2.21
      • Bamboo Data Center 12.1: Upgrade to a release greater than or equal to 12.1.9

      The National Vulnerability Database provides the following description for this vulnerability: Netty is a network application framework for development of protocol servers and clients. In netty-handler prior to versions 4.1.135.Final and 4.2.15.Final, an attacker can perform connection with no hostname verification at all. Versions 4.1.135.Final and 4.2.15.Final patch the issue.
