Currently, the latest versions of Bamboo only provide official support for Ubuntu-based AMIs as stock elastic images. There is no official support for Amazon-Linux AMIs at this time.

However, there are scenarios where builds require Amazon-Linux for compatibility with specific dependencies or to match production environments. The lack of Amazon-Linux support can be a blocker for teams that rely on this distribution for their build and deployment pipelines.

      Request:

Please consider adding official support for Amazon-Linux AMIs as elastic images in Bamboo. This would provide greater flexibility for teams with dependency or environment requirements tied to Amazon-Linux, and help ensure consistency between build and production environments.

Additionally, supporting Amazon-Linux would align Bamboo with common practices in AWS-hosted environments, where Amazon-Linux is a widely used and well-supported distribution.
