As per the Red Hat knowledge base "The podman container engine replaced docker as the preferred, maintained, and supported container platform of choice for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 and 9 systems." Customers who use Docker and have upgraded their OS from Redhat/ Oracle Linux 7 to RHEL 8 are impacted by this change.
A customer deploying Bamboo as a container platform in RHEL 8 or above cannot use Docker images since Redhat does not support Docker from RHEL 8. Podman-supported server/ agent images would enable customers to deploy Bamboo on Podman in RHEL 8 and above.
