The "Test Connection" function may fail when adding or editing HTTP-based Git repositories in Bamboo in case git configuration is missing a HTTP Proxy setup and no direct access to the Git repository is provided.

Though Bamboo as a Java application can benefit from direct HTTP Proxy settings, those are not cascaded to external applications such as Git.

Add a description to the "Test Connection" button in Repository creation/edit pointing to the following KB article that explains the required setup:
