      Problem Definition

      Currently, Bamboo has a security setting that allows non admin users to change remote agent dedication (CogIcon > Overview > Security Settings > Edit > uncheck "Allow users to dedicate agents to builds and deployments")

      However, in some use-cases it might be useful to allow all users to be able to dedicate remote agents to deployment environments while reserve build plan dedication to admin users.

      Suggested Solution

      Split the current "Allow users to dedicate agents to builds and deployments" option into two options:

      • Allow users to dedicate agents to builds
      • Allow users to dedicate agents to deployments
        So the two can be set separately.

      Why this is important

      Some workflows might require strict control on which remote agents perform certain builds/deplotments.
