    Description

      Summary

Starting on Bamboo 9.0, the SSH keys generated by Bamboo when linking Bitbucket Data Center repositories default to the ED25519 type, replacing the old, less recommended RSA type. This applies when linking repositories through the UI whenever Bamboo & Bitbucket are linked through an Application Link.

However, by managing Plans and their repositories through Java Specs, it is possible to manually upload SSH keys, including SSH keys of types other than ED25519.

      Suggestion

Since this is available as a feature through Java Specs, it'd be helpful to also be able to upload the keys manually through the User Interface, which currently only allows for the automatic SSH key generation.

      Workaround

Either use Java Specs; or add the repository by using the default Git repository type (instead of Bitbucket Server/Data Center), which allows the upload of SSH keys.
