    Description

In instances where a Bamboo Plan utilises the Agent-local artifact handler for reasons of security, disk space, and privacy, Bamboo will not provide the functionality of downloading these artifacts from the UI. This is a design decision.

However, there are situations that require additional artifact troubleshooting. In such scenarios, customers are currently required to manually retrieve these artifacts from individual Bamboo Agents. This is due to the fact that the Agent-local handler does not support the transfer of such files to the Server.

Looking to allow customers an easier alternative to download the artifacts, introduce an additional Artifact handler that enables on-demand downloads of artifacts. This new handler would share similarities to the current "Agent-local" handler but with the added capability of permitting on-demand downloads of Build results artifacts.

For instance, this could be achieved by initiating a special build that exclusively fetches the required artifacts and subsequently makes them available on the UI. The introduction of this feature would significantly streamline the process of artifact troubleshooting, eliminating the need for manual retrieval and enhancing the overall user experience.
