Problem Definition

Most of the configuration details and user data are located in Bamboo home, but some very common adjustments are also located in the Bamboo installation folder like tomcat details, JVM arguments, and SSO authenticator.

The upgrade process requires renewing the Bamboo installation folder and it is common that some of these configurations are not replicated to the new installation causing unexpected issues.

Suggested Solution

Bamboo could store such data in the Bamboo home directory avoiding the need to manually migrate such configuration.
