    Description

      Problem Definition

After the introduction of new Project permission in Bamboo 6.2, all users having no project permission can see all the projects when they click on Projects section in the header.

This Projects page did not exist until we have introduced new Project permission in Bamboo 6.2 and thus it use to be not necessary to have "View project permission" as we can see a project next to the respective set of plans only if we have permission to a plan from that project. Also, these projects were not shown anywhere and thus it wasn't a problem.

      Why this is important

If a company wants to restrict specific group of users from seeing some internal projects, it is currently not possible. Anyone with read access will be able to view the names and keys to all the projects once they click on Projects section.

      Suggested Solution

Introduce a new set of permissions to restrict users from listing all the projects and list only the project for which they have access to.

      Workaround

There is no workaround for this.
