      Problem Definition

      Deployment projects can check-out code using the linked repos credentials, however it's not possible to use this for "write" access to the repo which is possible under Build Plans.

      Suggested Solution

      • Linked Repos can be used with Read/Write in Deployment Jobs to allow for tasks like Git Tagging within deployment job - script tasks.
      • Re-use of Linked repo credentials to build variables for code/repo re-use within plans/builds.

      Workaround

      • Provision additional SSH Git Credentail and manage via OS/System Level
      • Provision new User + App Passwords into environment variables to configure git
