Feature to delete offline remote agents from the Bamboo history

Problem Definition

Suppose if simulate AWS elastic agents feature using Docker, which allow us to easily and very quickly start new build agents it leads to a lot of offline remote agents in the Bamboo tab when the agent is offline. Currently, there is no such feature in Bamboo delete the offline agent history.

Suggested Solution

Having a parameter such as "-Dbamboo.delete_on_disconnect=true" or opening a REST API Endpoint.

Workaround

There is no workaround for this problem except to delete the agents manually from the Bamboo UI:

• Bamboo Administration >> Agents >> Offline agents >> Select: All
  • If you have more than 50 agents, after selecting All, an additional line item will display like the below: All 50 agents on this page are selected. Select all 92 offline agents.
  • Clicking Select all ## offline agents will select all your offline agents.
• Action: Delete
