Notify administrators when disk space runs low on Bamboo server

Problem Definition

Different problems can happen when Bamboo is running out of disk space. The error will vary depending on what part of the application is trying allocated space at the moment. This problem usually leads to a system crash and can also corrupt some files.

Suggested Solution

Add a report on low disk space with an email alert to admins when the server is running with less than 10% available space. This will help users to tackle this problem before the crash, allowing them to adjust their expiry settings to save some space.

Possible workaround

1. Create a plan for checking this information through scripting. The script should fail when the disk available space is lower than 10%. Configure the plan to notify admins when it fails. Configure the plan to have a scheduled run (once a week should be enough).
