Description
Summary
- User is unable to authenticate in Bamboo when:
- Delegated LDAP is set up in Crowd
- Bamboo is connected to use Crowd as User Management
- unless:
- user has previously authenticated against Crowd Application, so user can be synchronised with Crowd making it available to Bamboo
Environment
- Crowd v2.9.1, v2.11.1
- JIRA v7.2.7
- Bamboo v5.15.5, v6.0.3
Steps to Reproduce
- Set up a Delegated LDAP directory in Crowd
- Create a Bamboo application in Crowd using the directory from above
- Set up Crowd with Bamboo under Bamboo administration >> Overview >> Security >> User repositories
- Attempt on login in Bamboo with a user that has not logged in Crowd
Expected Results
- As per other Atlassian products, Bamboo should authenticate against Crowd
Actual Results
- User is unable to authenticate

Notes
- Same issue happens when using JIRA instead of Crowd
- Issue does not happen if using Confluence instead Bamboo (for reference)
