As an admin I would like to save the time often spent with Bamboo upgrades and its common issues.

Suggested Solution

The Bamboo upgrade could:

1. Be started from the UI (admin area) and handle the next changes in case the constraints are met OR
2. Highlighting any details the admin will need to work on before the upgrade can be performed:
   • License update, in case it is needed
   • Modified files on installer directory if they cannot be automatically migrated (maybe the Tomcat config should be migrated to the home directory)
   • Minimum database version needed
   • Minimum JDK version needed
   • Minimum JVM system resources need
     In other words checking what is needed for the upgrade and providing some feedback in case it cannot be done automatically
   • Disk space check,
3. Give some options for post-upgrade actions.

• Clean up prior logs and prior installs (on windows).
• Ability to clean up old deploys and builds.
