Description
Summary
Disabling a job from the plan branch results does not disable the job for the main plan. When you go to view the main plan and its job, the job shows as enabled.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a plan with two jobs
- Create a plan branch.
- Run the plan branch build.
- Bring up the left sidebar 'Stages & Job'. Click on one of the jobs
- Click on 'Actions' and 'Disable Job'
Expected Results
- The job gets disabled for entire plan
Actual Results
- The job is still enabled for the main plan.
Notes
The job will be disabled for that branch only. Because there's no way to tell if a job is disabled for only a branch in the UI, it appears from a user standpoint that the branch is missing the job entirely when the branch plan is run.
Workaround
To enable the job again, you can do the following options.
Option 1
- Go into the plan configuration to see the job that shows as enabled.
- Uncheck the 'Job enabled'
- Save
- Check the 'Job enabled'
- Save
Option 2
- In the plan branch results, go back to the last build that had that job enabled.
- Click on the job.
- Click on 'Actions' and 'Enable'
