      Hi,

We would like to enable our users to add build plan branches when required, as trigger adding at the moment is creating way to much branches. There is currently no way for a user to be able to create a plan branch unless they have admin rights. We would like them to only have the ability to create new branches, especially from the new 'branch status' page, which is just perfect for that.

Currently users that do not have admin rights, can not add build plans to branches, since the plan list is empty.

Would it be possible to separate the 'branch' permission from the 'admin' permission?

This would be a very helpful feature so we would not have to give all our users admin rights so that they can actually use the software.

Any progress on this? The request is opened for 6 years and no response....

As of today, there are 59 votes expressing interest in this feature.  What is the threshold of votes to prove this feature is of value?

For our way of working, allowing users the ability to create branch plans would be a tremendous leap forward in functionality.  Granting admin rights to an individual with the role of guiding production builds is an overkill and having an admin create branch plans is inconvenient at best.  Having the option to grant "create branch plan" permission seems to be a natural and intuitive feature.

This would be very useful, since we have some plans that we want developers to be able to create plan branches for, but without having to give them full admin on the plan, including the privileges to change it.
