LDAP users intermittently unable to login

      Summary

      LDAP users intermittently cannot login which to the admin may result in the inability to edit or add user to permissions.

      The following error is received via user interface:

      Unable to find the user. The username <em>user_name_here</em> may be incorrect.
      

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Integrate Bamboo with LDAP
      2. Enable caching in the atlassian-user.xml setting cache="true"
      3. Create a group and associate an LDAP user
      4. Remove the user from the group and wait for the cache to run

      Expected Results

      Bamboo should remove the user from group

      Actual Results

      User is not removed from group and upon restart of Bamboo that user can log in but other users now face the same issue
