Problem Definition

As an admin of Bamboo I have a need to accurately adjust and monitor the database connections Bamboo creates and use. Right now Bamboo has no feature to provide such data and the monitoring need to be performed by an external tool.

Suggested Solution

JIRA has a feature for this which can be found at Admin >> System >> Database Monitoring. It provides a graphic view of connection pool available and active, which is really useful to help us understand our load and plan database connections adjusts. This could be a good solution for Bamboo also.
