The above jira ticket fixed the issues we had with release version scheme for deployment project. This is working fine on trunk or master.

But when we use branch level deployments, (deployments directly from branches). The release scheme is not available when we click "create release" from branch build. we want to have one build and one deployment job , use custom release version (from maven pom version) as release version for deployment project. This will be ok if we have deployment project for each branch. but we dont want to create deployment project for each branch. This is blocking us to continue doing our custom release process. please help us resolved the issue.
