Warning to transfer installation directory config files information after upgrade

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

A new installation directory is created for each Bamboo upgrade, so settings added to setenv.sh and server.xml files sitting under installation directory don't get transferred to the new instance. This causes a variety of issues and it'll be great if we can have a warning message when opening the new upgraded instance for the first time that checks if these settings are manually transferred, or better if there is a way to handle this in the upgrade process.
