so we have a build plan.

it has custom plan variables (reponame, repobranch).

after a successful build, we then attempt to use that build's artifacts in a linked deploy.

if the build was triggered manually, the plan variables are available for the deploy to reference.

if the build was triggered automatically, the plan variables are NOT available for the deploy to reference.
