Problem Description

If we specify the release versioning as plan variable won't work if the deployment is triggered by scheduled build. It will work if we run the build manually, however somehow on the scheduled job, the variable's value won't get replaced. Instead it will just print out how the variable is specified.

Steps to replicate

1. Create a test plan
2. Specify Variables inside of the plan for the deployment versioning

   

3. Create a deployment project
4. Create a trigger that will auto deployed upon completion of a build
5. Configure release versioning and include the variable inside the release version

   

6. Create a trigger for that plan for example a scheduled build
7. Wait until the plan is built and the deployment is finished deploying

   

8. Notice the difference with manual build
