The jenkins importer is awesome but, unfortunately for me, does not work for recent versions of hudson. Shortly after the hudson/jenkins split at V1.39, the config format changed in hudson meaning that a separate importer for hudson is needed (or extra logic added to the existing jenkins importer).

A suggested alternative option was to upgrade from hudson to jenkins and then import to bamboo, this does not work for the same reason the bamboo jenkins importer does not. It was also suggested to try a downgrade to hudson 1.39 to enable the jenkins migration then use the bamboo importer but this is not possible.
