    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

Child plans created from automatic branch creation inherit everything from the parent. It would be very useful to be able to mark tasks "inheritable" in the parent plan, with the purpose of being able to prevent certain tasks from being run.

The use case is that for example: A customer wants to have a plan that calls a "deploy" task at the end, but they don't have any branches automatically created from that build plan to also be deployed. This, of course, can be done by going into the child plan and removing the task, but it would be much more useful to be able to configure the behavior of the plan at the start and not have to manually update plans as they are created.
