on this page we advertise the existence of buildForceCleanCheckout built-in variable. I cannot manage Bamboo to substitute that variable (probably we cut it off at some point). So we probably should either restore it, or update the CAC documentation.

Bonus points for fixing the VariableSubstitutionTest testBuiltInVariablesDoSub FT, accordingly to the resolution of this issue.
