          While this suggestion has gathered significant interest, we're unable to implement all of the excellent suggestions you make. We don't plan to work on this for the foreseeable future.

          We're not planning to add global "read" permission but since Bamboo 6.2 you can configure it in project permissions.

          Does this apply to REST API or the UI?

          We would like to know why the old ability to view plan configuration (bamboo 2/3?) was removed.. (interesting developer docs still suggest you create a "view.vm" for your plugin tasks, but its not used anywhere!

          Same need in Deployment Projects.

          Letting dev teams see the non-sensitive aspects of their plans offloads a huge support burden from the build management team.
