Users will want to be able to transition JIRA issues based on the completion of bamboo builds. A common use case will be the opportunity to reopen issues whenever the build fails or resolve the issue whenever the build is a success. We have implemented this feature already in JIRA studio and Ondemand version as described in the page below:

This is not achievable on standalone JIRA because the bamboo specific workflow properties are not recognised.
