For some of our plans, we build off long-standing branches.
We specify the branch path in our plan repository configuration.
One of our devs noticed just today that the plan was reporting having used the latest revision of the repo instead of the latest revision of the branch.

I think it would be more intuitive if Bamboo did one of two things when checking out a branch/tag:
1. Show the latest branch/tag revision
2. Show the repo latest revision AND the branch/tag revision
