I'm putting this review of the Bamboo Findbugs plugin here because the plugins.atlassian.com review function is broken. I'd like to get some feedback about whether there are any plans to improve the plugin:

I'm using version 2.7 of the Bamboo Findbugs plugin on version 3.2.2 build 2718 of Bamboo.

The findbugs report is hidden away on the Job page rather than at front-of-house like it is on Jenkins CI. It's also linked to the overall Job rather than the particular run of a Job (e.g. execution #8). That makes some sense as I guess the plugin is serving up the current state of the build directory. Luckily, I don't choose to clear down my build directory after builds. I haven't tested, but I'm not too confident that the plugin will work with multiple remote agents.

The showstopper for me is that it doesn't support multimodule builds. I have the Miscellaneous --> Findbugs configuration set to look in **/target and the findbugs plugin adds the tab into the Job results. Unfortunately it displays nothing but an empty graph.

Also, warning message when displaying the plugin page:

This page seems to be using a legacy way of displaying the tabs. Please contact the plugin developer. The page should be fixed to specify a specific decorator ('plan') please visit the plugin upgrade guide for details.

I'm surprised to see this bearing in mind the plugin is maintained by Atlassian Labs.

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/FNDBUG-1 - this bug is closed, indicating that multimodule builds should be supported.

            Hi folks,

Unfortunately the Findbugs plugin is in Atlassian Labs, which means there is no commercial support available for it. However, the plugin is open source and anyone is free to contribute fixes.

            Thanks
            James

Same problem here. I'm unable to see any reports, just an empty graph in a job tab.
No tab like shown on screenshots https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/wiki/display/BFIND/FindBugs+Plugin is present.

Will someone fix please? I would say this is critical not minor.

Do you have a suggested alternative or workaround? Findbugs is an important code metrics tool and this issue has been raised with Minor priority.
