Problem Definition
As an administrator, I would like to have the ability to control and configure Access/Product approved or denied request notifications. Currently, we don't have an option to disable it and end users will always get an email notifying them that an administrator as approved or denied their request.
Suggested Solution
- Create a feature to allow notifications regarding approval/denial of product access requests to be deactivated
Why this is important
- Some administrators to do not want end users to know that their request has been denied(or approved) - especially if the original product access request was made quite a long time prior
Workaround
- As a workaround, admins can consider temporarily or permanently blocking/filtering the approval/denial emails on their mail service provider based on the following attributes:
- Sending domain: id.atlassian.net
- Subject: You were denied access to <product_name>
- The product_name is Confluence/Jira, etc.; a wildcard can be used instead of the actual product name
