      Issue Summary

When using the "Similar issues description" branch type in an Automation rule, similar issues are not identified even if a ticket with the same summary and description already exists.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create an Automation rule with Issue created trigger
      2. Add a Branch component and set the related issue types to "Similar issue description" and set the similarity to "Similar" level
      3. Add a log action component or a Link issue component to link the newly created issue to a similar issue.

      Expected Results

Issues with similar summary and description should be identified.

      Actual Results

Observe in the audit logs you see a message that says "No similar issues were found". Even issues with identical summary and description are not found

      Workaround

Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
