Issue Summary
Unable to add a condition to an If branch. But you can create one on the mainline and drag it to the branch.
Steps to Reproduce
- In automation, Add component > select New condition > If/else block
- Inside the block, click on Add component. There isn’t a New condition component.
Expected Results
It should be possible to add a condition to an IF branch.
Actual Results
There isn’t a New condition component.
Workaround
Create another condition on the mainline and drag it to the branch

No, this ticket is not a duplicate of AUTO-67.
While AUTO-67 is about enabling branches within branches, this is just about adding simple conditions inside of a branch.
I experienced JSWCLOUD-22414 today after Atlassian Support migrated my site into another organization.
After some analysis, we've found that this ticket is a duplicate of the request AUTO-67 – Support for more complex logic in Automation rulebuilder - introduce nested if/else blocks (branches within branches). We have moved all internal tickets from this one to AUTO-67.
If you do not think this issue should have been closed, please add a comment here saying why and we can reopen it as needed.
For what it's worth, this previously worked. I have at least 3 automations which I created (a while back) using the Automation for Jira "Editor" which contains a condition underneath an If/Else branch.
