Inconsistent behavior using the automation Global translator agent and Virtual Agent in Slack

XMLWordPrintable

    • Severity 3 - Minor

      Issue Summary

When using the Global translator in automation to work in requests from the Virtual Agent in Slack, its behavior can be inconsistent.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Configure a simple automation rule with the Global translator agent to translate comments posted in a request.
      2. Set up a virtual agent in Slack.
      3. Go through an intent in the Slack VA.
      4. Escalate the intent into a request in JSM.

      Expected Results

The automation will translate every comment synced from the Slack thread into the Jira work item.

      Actual Results

      • Some comments may be skipped, and some comments are posted in duplicate.
      • Users @ mentions sometimes (not always) are translated as an account ID.
      • The outcome, in general, seems inconsistent.

      Workaround

Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior.
