Resolution: Unresolved
Implementation of a robust monitoring and reporting feature that provides a comprehensive overview of all automation requests and executions within Jira, including those from native Jira automations, JMWE (Jira Misc Workflow Extensions), and REST API calls.
Automation Service Limits Monitoring:
- Include a feature to monitor specific automation service limits, such as:
- Components per Rule: 65
- New Sub-tasks per Action: 50
- Issues Searched: 1000
- Scheduled Rules That Can Run at the Same Time: 1
- Associated Items for a Rule: 5000
- Items Queued Globally: 50000
- Daily Processing Time: 60 minutes per 12 hours
- Loop Detection: 10
- Send Email Action: 100 emails in a 24-hour period (applies to Free edition and Trial licenses)
- Lookup Issues Action (Jira Automation): 100 issues
- Number of Items a Branch Can Retrieve per Rule Run:
- “For each page” branch: 150 pages
- “For each task” branch: 150 tasks
- “For each related entities (CQL)”: 150 CQL query results
- Number of Rules That Can Run at the Same Time:
- Free: 5
- Standard: 10
- Premium: 20
- Enterprise: 30
- Atlassian Intelligence Actions: 1,000 uses of AI-related actions per 12 hours
- Fields Limit for Issues Processed by Automation Rules: 2000 fields (applies to actions like Create issue, Clone issue)
- Provide alerts or notifications when these limits are close to being reached or have been exceeded, allowing users to take corrective action in advance.
Benefits:
- Proactive Management: Enables administrators to proactively manage and optimize automation configurations, reducing the risk of failures due to execution limits.
- Informed Decision-Making: Offers data-driven insights into automation usage, helping teams make informed decisions about scaling and optimizing their processes.
- Enhanced User Experience: Improves overall satisfaction by providing transparency and control over automation processes within Jira.
