Problem

When a field is not included in the Edit Issue Screen, trying to edit it via an Automation rule with the actor set as a regular user (rather than Automation for Jira) results in the following error message:

Unknown fields set during edit, they may be unavailable for the project/type. Check your custom field configuration. Fields ignored

No fields or field values to edit for issues (could be due to some field values not existing in a given project)

The ability to edit fields that are not included in the Edit Issue screen through an automation rule using a different actor.

Current Workarounds

• Keep the Automation for Jira user as the rule actor;

• Select another user and add the fields to the relevant edit screen.
