      Issue Summary

Project managers might create projects, then add contributors, or link the project with a Jira epic. People contributing to that project can post updates. I want an option to see status updates for projects I own so I can see daily/weekly updates on those projects.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. NA

      Actual Results

      NA

      Workaround

Use a service account as the project owner so I can follow my own project without being the owner and receive updates.

curious if the only views for updates would be "last week" and "this week" ... i realize this is out of scope of what this ticket is about but it maybe more streamline and useful if there wasn't that toggle from "last week" and "this week" and instead just "Status updates" stream... kind of like a persons facebook wall.

So I just noticed something interesting. So long as I have at least 1 project that I am not the owner and I am not contributing to then it will show me the status updates page and when I toggle to this week it actually does show me all the udpates for all the projects that I am attached to.

This is the behavior that I would expect to see because lets also argue that I make an update but then someone comments on it. Surely I will see something in that view?

I really like what Atlassian is trying to do here with Atlassian HOME.

I would still argue that even if I own the project and even if I made the update I should still see everything. The page doesn't clearly state "See updated except for the update that you made plus any updated on projects you might own" ... now its just "Status and updates" indicating I should see it all.

I truly do appreciate what you guys are doing here though. I'd like to be able to move everyone where I work into Atlassian at some point. Just need to get people better insights into projects and updates without actually letting them into the engineers boards.
