Issue Summary

Users are experiencing issues when exporting Jira issue filters to Excel Online using the Jira Cloud for Excel official app. The process often results in errors, and successful exports are inconsistent.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Search for issues in Jira or access an Issue Filter
2. Click the Apps dropdown to present its options
4. Select Open in Microsoft Excel
3. Allow new tab
4. Select your Excel product -> Excel Online

Expected Results

• The export process should reliably open a new tab for product selection

• When Excel Online is selected, the export should be complete without errors and in a timely manner

Actual Results

• The page at https://jira-spreadsheets.services.atlassian.com/ often remains blank or throws an error before allowing product selection

• When product selection is possible, selecting Excel Online frequently results in an error after a delay

• Occasionally, the export succeeds, but more often it does not

Workaround

As a workaround, you can try (free) the Jira Cloud for Google Sheets (Official) app. Another option would be to use the Export > Export Excel CSV option and import it into your Excel online app.
