For the benefit of any other users browsing this, here are some additional notes: What I would like to see in a slack message is an inline display of a smart link, the way it's done in Confluence, Please see  this post  in the Atlassian Community for screenshots, and hopefully, some discussion. The way a smartlink to an issue is displayed in Confluence in "inline" mode has the following advantages over the current unfurling options: The link is inline in the text so the conversation is not disrupted The link is visually distinct within the text The link contains the relevant information about the issue in a single line with no boilerplate, i.e., Issue Type, Key, Summary, Status the action buttons included in the current issue preview in case you want to do something are very disruptive to the flow of conversation and are not really needed - if you need to perform an action on the issue, just click on the issue, or support right-clicking to see a pulldown menu of actions If there are several issues under discussion, you don't end up with the actual text of the discussion scrolled off the screen or generally buried in boilerplate Thanks!
