      Problem Definition

At the moment, the built-in Jira Cloud-Slack integration does not support users to create issue in Jira through the slack channel

      Suggested Solution

      Why this is important

This feature would be helpful for users who would like to focus with their conversation in Slack, and provide better user experience.

      Workaround

      Use the following add-ons:

            Hi daniel,
The error below is likely to occur when you create an issue to the issue-type having any required field other than Summary.

Oops! We tried to create an issue in Jira but weren't able to. Please try again or click the below button to manually create an issue.

Please refer to JRACLOUD-72018 for further actions you can take to create an issue successfully via Slack integration.

Should update the plugin page with this functionality.
            https://qualpay.slack.com/apps/A2RPP3NFR-jira-cloud

And maybe this post to avoid unnecessary searching:

But seriously, great job, and thank you.

Hi, I tried few times but still getting this:

Oops! We tried to create an issue in Jira but weren't able to. Please try again or click the below button to manually create an issue.
Is there any way how to try to debug the reason why it's not working? I have already tried reconnect the app from my workspace in Slack and Jira but it didn't help.

Hi jfrank471174063, the message action is called "Create issue from". It will show up automatically on all messages. It may be hidden under "More message actions.."

Thanks Trevor! Question–will the message action show up automatically? The other two means are working for me, but I don't see the "Create Jira issue" message action.

I would also be interested in this for Jira Service Desk–would love my internal users to be able to go to a channel (#ithelp, for example) and their message creates a ticket, or asks if they'd like to create a Jira ticket.
