      Issue Summary

Jira Server Slack integration allows user to create dedicated channels for an issue - see How can I create a dedicated channel for an issue?. This channel will now post all notifications, included restricted comments which are not meant for all users in the channel.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a dedicated channel in Slack
      2. Add a restricted comment in the issue

      Expected Results

Restricted / internal comments are not posted to Slack

      Actual Results

All comments are posted to Slack

      Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available

[API-197] Slack dedicated channel posts notifications for restricted comments

            Hey guys!

I am proud to announce that this issue has been addressed in the recent release of Jira Server for Slack - 2.0.8. Feel free to upgrade to it and check if it solves your issue. Dedicated channels no longer get restricted comment notifications by default, however it is possible to make them receive those notifications on project Slack configuration page -> Advanced settings.

same problem applies to issue security levels as well

If user creates and issue and receives notifications as reporter, if issue security lvl is changed, even if this user is not a member of sl, he will still receive notifications on issue updates, comments, etc

Ideally, there would be a Slack Integration configurable option to turn on or off the posting of comment text in Slack channels (set at an instance level).

I know that this is possible at the project level, to not select the checkbox for posting when a comment is added, but as a Jira System Admin, I want to be able to control this system wide (and not rely on project admins, not selecting a checkbox).

This is due to Slack being an externally hosted application, and security requirements that we need to meet.
