Create issue from Slack in Jira Server/DC

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

      People are always asking questions in Slack that either should have been tickets in the first place, or turn into requests that should be managed in Jira. It's a priority for some of our teams to be able to create issues from Slack, they don't care about getting Jira notifications in their channels.

       

      Aware of the (fairly pricey) add-on options, but given this is available for Cloud for free it makes them feel even more pricey.

      Question - is this just not possible at all or could we possibly hack a slack command if we follow the instructions to create a custom app instead of installing the packaged one from the marketplace?

            My team needs this as soon possible. We used this many times per day and now that we've migrated we can't. Please prioritize.

            I guess since there won't be further development with server this isn't going to happen? What about data center?

            now 29 votes.  I would love this feature for server. would then be able to avoid the Outlook integration, given the more friendly UX and company buy-in of Slack.  Sigh...

            Only 5 votes for this feature .. WOW - has everyone implemented the integration offered by nextup so they are not interested in having a native one provided by Atlassian

            Can we generalize this issue to request feature parody with Jira Cloud Slack Notifications?  It would be great if we could also get Slack notifications for comments on issues like we can with the Jira Cloud Slack notifications with Jira Server.

            We are also looking forward to have this feature implemented. Cloud version already have this feature, why not Server?
