Notification is *always* sent out after editing a comment

      When editing comments immediately after posting a new comment, for instance to fix  a typo, a notification is sent to the connected slack channel, causing unneeded noise.

       

      As explained here, there should be a one hour period during which editing comments shouldn't cause a new notification, but it seems this isn't working.

            Hi, I'm still facing this issue with Jira-slack integration. Jira sends the entire message to slack if I edit the comment, is there a config option that I'm missing ?

            3ebd9a087fe0 I am not sure that this bug exists on server as it is a separate codebase. However, we do not currently have any plans to make the improvement of updating the message in the server app.

            I just rolled out a change such that any comment edits by the same person will update the original message rather than sending a new notification. Thanks for the feedback and your patience!

            This should be a bug, but when picking a "Bug" in the Issue Type combo, no text box is shown.
