Integrate Tempo Timesheets data with Atlassian Analytics

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

      User Problem

      I would like Atlassian Analytics and Atlassian Data Lake to include data from the Tempo Timesheets app so I can create charts and dashboards of my time tracking data with the rest of my product data.

      Suggested Solutions

      Support app data such as Tempo Timesheets in the Atlassian Data Lake.

      Current Workarounds

      Users can export their timesheet data into Google Sheets and connect these to Atlassian Analytics. Alternatively, they can export data to Excel or CSV files, upload them to a database such as PostgreSQL, and connect Atlassian Analytics to their Postgres database to visualize their time tracking data in Analytics.

            Hi 7bd1e7b9504f ,  thanks for commenting.  While we are still exploring options on how to integrate Tempo data, Jira Worklog data is now available in Atlassian Analytics.  Can you let us know whether there is any specific data piece that you need from Tempo, given Worklog data is available?  Thank you.

            Any feedback on this? App data in Analytics would be really a major improvement.

            +1

            Tempo and Atlassian, why should there even be a request needed for this?

            Hi 6b6083a96cea : Work on ingesting data from Atlassian Marketplace apps (including Tempo Timesheets) into Atlassian Data Lake has not started yet. So at this point there is no estimated delivery time for this feature. Once this work is in progress, the ticket will be updated. Thank you.

            This is an important feature how come this is not available will lower the burden of a lot of bi-reports we are doing externally, this is a much-needed feature. Is there any update on this?

            Our current workaround is to pull a data extract from Tempo and then use that csv/excel as a data source in Analytics. Or use Google Sheets as a Brandon mentioned.

            @Mateusz Szumski

            There are now data connections to Google sheets which at least makes the current workaround a lot easier and more accessible for immediate use
