Connect 3rd party BI tools directly to the Atlassian Data Lake

User Problem

Users would like to connect their local Business Intelligence tools (such as Tableau or Power BI) directly to the Atlassian Data Lake so they can run queries against the lake in their local familiar tool and environment with little setup.

Suggested Solutions

Enable users the ability to connect directly to the Atlassian Data Lake without needing to go through Atlassian Analytics.

Current Workarounds

Currently, users need to use Atlassian Analytics to visualize their Atlassian data. They may also use 3rd party solutions such as Fivetran to ETL their Jira data into their data warehouse (e.g. Snowflake or Redshift) and connect their BI tool to their warehouse that way. Some tools have marketplace apps such as the Power BI Connector for Jira.
