Add request channel type data to the Atlassian Data Lake

      Issue Summary

      Customers would like the ability to query the request-channel-type property to gain insight into the channels that their Jira Service Management requests are being generated from (ie. portal, API, email, etc.). Since request-channel-type is considered a property of Jira Service Management requests, and not a custom field, this property does not appear in the Jira Issue Field table in Atlassian Analytics and is not currently captured in the Atlassian Data Lake.

       

      Suggestion

      Add request-channel-type data as a new column in the Atlassian Data Lake. 

       

      Workaround

      Following the steps in our Knowledge Base Article, users can create a read-only custom field that stores the value of the request-channel-type property. With this read-only custom field, you would then be able to query the request-channel-type in Atlassian Analytics using the  Jira Issue Field table.
