Add the ability to filter searches by labels

      Now that it's possible to label pages, it would be nice to be able to limit/filter search results by label(s). For my particular needs, this would be particularly useful if combined with CONF-3963 which would allow attachments to be labelled. For example, by labelling certain attachments as a document type, e.g. "proposal", you could then search all off the proposals on the site by searching things with that label. Adding these two capabilities would go a long way towards being able to use Confluence as a better document repository.

            Thank you for your patience with this issue. We are pleased to announce that ability to filter search results by multiple labels is coming shortly to Confluence 5.9 (due in a few weeks) and is already shipped in Confluence Cloud.

            Workaround

            Append specific search field to your search query:

            QueryText AND labelText:LabelName

            I have several pending requests of users in my company due to exactly this feature.

            They want to use the team label to limit the search to this subset of spaces.
            This would be a really great improvement to the search.

            And extending this to be able to limit searches to Spaces with Team Labels would also be a winner, the Team Label thing seems to break down when considering searching....

            I agree, this feature seems to be very useful.

            When we search we have "matching labels" but it's not what we want. We are searching for a "label" link in search "type" or "group by" feature.
